Conscious Leaders Care About Organic

Some purists may argue that it is beyond the scope of government but the USDA Organic program rocks. If you see the USDA Organic label on a product, you know straight up that there are no artificial ingredients, additives, colorings, toxins, stabilizers, or glow in the dark substances. That’s huge. And even better, you know there are no Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) in there either.

As much heat as governments around the world take for less than stellar activities, the USDA has to be recognized as a model of what conscious leaders in government can and should be. The USDA Organic program is strict. Getting in is not easy. It is not cheap. But those who do get in are fully checked-out. You can pretty much bet your paycheck on the USDA Label.

Now, is there anything “better than USDA Organic?” Yes. We’ll save that for further conversations down the road. Let’s get the food system at least to the USDA Organic standard, then talk about eco-ganic, grass-fed, pasture raised, or even the gold standard, wild crafted.

Some complain organic is too expensive. Well, demand creates supply. The more you buy it (or grow it yourself), the more it will become available with a corresponding decrease in price.
