Means v. Ends

Many (ok, most) businesses look at their customers as a means to an end. The end being to make more money at whatever cost. The means are the customer. They view employees in the same way. As means to an end.

Conscious businesses turn things around. They see the customer and the employee as the end. They have a higher purpose to serve. Ironically, in almost every case, the conscious business does better financially than those who put the cart before the horse.
